[Service News]VARO DRT Now Running with i-Value Plus!

We’re excited to share that VARO DRT has launched in selected areas of Gyeonggi Province under the name “i-Value Plus DRT,” starting from June 29! 👏 

i-Value  Plus DRT is a demand-responsive transit (DRT) platform service operated as part of Gyeonggi Province’s i-Value  Plus project. It is a shuttle-type DRT service designed to help elementary school students who need after-school care travel safely between school, care centers, and their homes. 🚐 

※“i-Value” is a Korean term meaning “together with children,” reflecting the program’s focus on supporting children’s safe and accompanied mobility. 

i-Value  Plus DRT is a mobility support service for elementary school students who are enrolled in or waiting to enter care centers. Once a guardian pre-registers the child’s information through the app, the center manager books weekly ride schedules in advance. 

Children can board the vehicle according to their reserved schedule and scan the QR code inside the vehicle to authenticate their reservation. If a child does not have a smartphone, the accompanying guardian can manually complete the boarding authentication. 

This service operates with one vehicle in the Pungmu-dong area of Gimpo and one vehicle in the Byeollae-dong area of Namyangju. It supports travel between elementary schools, care centers, and the homes of children using the centers. The service is free of charge. 

Operating hours are from 1 PM to 8 PM during the school term and from 8 AM to 6 PM during school vacations. The service runs from Monday to Friday, and operation on public holidays will be decided through prior consultation. 

One key feature of i-Value Plus DRT is that it operates as a route-reservation service. This means that rides are booked in advance based on designated routes and timetables. 

Guardians can check scheduled ride details through the app and receive push notifications before, during, and after each ride. Notifications include reminders 10 minutes before the ride, boarding completion, and ride completion, helping guardians follow their child’s journey with greater peace of mind. They can also check the vehicle’s current location on the map through the app. 📍

📍i-Value  Plus DRT is available for children enrolled in or waiting to enter a care center. 

📍The service can be used after pre-registration is approved through the guardian app. 

📍Individual users cannot book rides directly; center managers book ride schedules in advance. 

📍When boarding, please scan the in-vehicle QR code to authenticate the reservation. 

📍If a child does not have a smartphone, the accompanying guardian can manually complete the boarding authentication.
