Hello from Studio G!
Studio Galilei has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with GS Globalย to expand smart and sustainable mobility initiatives.

Signed on June 29 at GS Tower in Gangnam, Seoul, the agreement brings together Studio Galileiโs expertise in operating Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) services and GS Globalโs capabilities in electric buses and new business development.
The two companies will connect DRT platforms with electric buses and charging infrastructure while jointly developing a โCommunity Hubโ model designed to support not only regional mobility but also the everyday needs of local residents.
๐ย Combining DRT and Electric Buses for Sustainable Mobilityย
Under the agreement, Studio Galilei and GS Global will explore smart, sustainable mobility models that introduce electric buses suited to each regionโs transportation demand and operating conditions and connect them with DRT platforms.
Studio Galilei supports the entire DRT operating process through TAMOS (Transit Analysis and Mobility Optimization System), its proprietary integrated demand-responsive mobility platform. This includes analyzing regional transportation demand, developing service plans, managing real-time ride requests, vehicle assignments and operations, and analyzing service data.
GS Global will supply electric buses suited to local transportation conditions and develop plans for building and operating the charging infrastructure required to support them.
The two companies will also examine ways to improve vehicle efficiency through demand-based dispatching and optimized routes, reduce unnecessary trips made without passengers, and measure the potential reduction in carbon emissions resulting from electric buses and charging infrastructure.
๐ Creatingย Community Hubsย That Connect Mobility and Daily Lifeย
A key focus of the partnership is the development of Community Hubs built around electric bus charging infrastructure in areas served by DRT.
Rather than functioning solely as facilities for charging and managing electric buses, these hubs are envisioned as local centers that also provide convenient services and everyday support for residents.
The companies plan to gradually identify community-based services connected with businesses and public institutions, including senior care, and develop models tailored to the population, living environment, and mobility needs of each region.
Studio Galilei will use mobility data and transportation demand insights gained through DRT operations to assess suitable hub locations, functions, and potential local services. GS Global will contribute its experience in electric buses, charging infrastructure, and new business development to support hub construction and commercialization.
๐๏ธ Supporting Both Local Mobility and Regional Vitalityย
The companies also plan to connect Community Hubs with tourism-focused DRT services. The goal is to make everyday travel and essential services more convenient for residents while helping visitors move easily throughout the region and spend more time exploring local destinations.
For residents, the model could provide closer access to essential transportation and daily services. For visitors, it could create a smoother travel experience connecting tourism sites with key community destinations, helping bring renewed vitality to local areas.
The partnership will also draw on GS Globalโs international business network to explore the overseas expansion and commercialization of tourism and public transportation DRT models. The two companies will work together to identify new opportunities with local governments and public institutions in Korea and abroad.
๐ฑ Building Sustainable Mobility Models for Each Communityย
GS Global is a GS Group affiliate with businesses spanning the import and export of steel, petrochemicals, and energy materials. It has also expanded into electric buses, solar energy equipment, healthcare, recycling, and other emerging sectors.
Since 2020, GS Global has operated an electric bus import and sales business in Korea through its partnership with global electric vehicle manufacturer BYD and has supplied more than 1,550 electric buses to date.
By combining GS Globalโs expertise in electric buses and charging infrastructure with Studio Galileiโs experience in transportation demand analysis and DRT operations, the two companies plan to develop an integrated business model covering project planning, vehicle deployment, infrastructure development, and day-to-day operations.
โThis agreement marks the starting point for developing smart mobility models tailored to regional conditions by combining our DRT operating capabilities with electric buses and charging infrastructure,โ said Kim Hyunmyung, CEO of Studio Galilei. โTogether with GS Global, we will determine the appropriate locations, scale, and infrastructure for Community Hubs and develop them into local centers that improve residentsโ daily convenience while bringing new vitality to the region.โ
Studio Galilei will continue examining the transportation conditions and real mobility needs of individual communities to build sustainable mobility models that naturally connect transportation, everyday services, and environmentally friendly infrastructure.
