Weโ€™d like to share a recent news feature about Studio Galilei, reported on April 30!ย

Today, weโ€™re excited to share some great news about Studio Galileiโ€™s global expansion. We have been selected for the 2026 K-City Network Overseas Demonstration Project, led by Koreaโ€™s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. ๐ŸŽ‰

Through this selection, Studio Galilei will carry out an AI and big data simulation-based Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) demonstration project in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This is a meaningful opportunity for us to apply and validate Korean smart mobility technology in an actual overseas city environment.

๐ŸŒ What is theย K-City Network Overseas Demonstration Project?ย

The K-City Network Overseas Demonstration Project is an intergovernmental cooperation program that applies Korean smart city technologies to overseas cities and verifies their business potential in real urban environments.

This year, only 6 projects were selected out of 34 candidates after a comprehensive evaluation of technological innovation, business feasibility, and global expansion potential. Studio Galileiโ€™s selection is an important recognition of the global applicability of our mobility technology.

๐Ÿš A DRT Demonstration Project Starting in Ho Chi Minh Cityย

This demonstration project will be carried out in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport and UEH (University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City). The project will introduce DRT services centered around the university campus and optimize vehicle operations and routes based on real mobility demand.

Like many major cities in Southeast Asia, Ho Chi Minh City has a transportation system heavily centered around motorcycles. While this brings flexibility, it also leads to ongoing challenges such as traffic congestion and air pollution. Many users also experience inconvenience when traveling between public transportation stops and their final destinations, often referred to as the first-mile and last-mile gap.

To address these issues, Studio Galilei aims to apply a DRT model that operates flexibly based on actual user demand, rather than fixed routes and schedules. The key goal of this demonstration is to complement the limitations of existing public transportation and create a more efficient and convenient mobility environment.

๐Ÿง  Testing a New Mobility Operation Model with AI and Dataย

Through this project, we will use AI and big data simulations to analyze mobility demand in Ho Chi Minh City and test ways to optimize vehicle dispatching and route operations. In particular, areas such as university campuses, where travel demand is concentrated at certain times of the day, are expected to be well-suited for DRTโ€™s flexible operating model.

For users, this can help reduce waiting times and improve access to destinations. For cities, it can help reduce unnecessary vehicle operations, ease traffic congestion, and support the transition toward more sustainable transportation.

๐Ÿš€ Another Step Toward the Global Smart Mobility Marketย

This Ho Chi Minh City DRT demonstration will serve as an important starting point for Studio Galilei to build a new business reference in the Southeast Asian market. It is also meaningful because it allows us to test how the DRT operation experience we have built in Korea can be adapted to the transportation environment of an overseas city.

Studio Galilei will continue working to solve urban mobility challenges through AI-based mobility technology and provide sustainable transportation services in more regions around the world.

Please stay tuned and support Studio Galileiโ€™s new global demonstration journey, starting in Ho Chi Minh City. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿš
